This summer DJ bought these really sweet little purple flowers to plant in the back yard.  They were very delicate, and unfortunately the Arizona sun dried them out in about a week.  But not before we got a great little photo of them, which I turned into "Purple Flower."

This was one of those paintings that I just had to keep fussing with for a long long time! I thought it may never be finished, but I've decided to stick a fork in it and call it done. The image came from a time when DJ wrapped Alta in a blanket, and she's so passive that she won't just wrestle her way out, instead she just lays there an pouts! It was pretty cute, but a challenge to paint.
