About this painting: This is a study of women in dramatic red lighting. Since I started my painting a day project I've found that I have definitely not settled on one subject or one style. I really like the idea of painting the human figure. People fascinate me, but I have very little practice in this area- and having moved to Phoenix only 6 weeks ago I seem to have few people that I know well enough to attempt a portrait on, I keep asking DJ, but he pretty much dodges the question.
